Mobile field-form data is the most exposed piece of any custody workflow. TRACE's broker is engineered so that no case identifier, no personal information, and no photo ever rests on our servers for more than the few seconds it takes the desktop to pull it home.

The desktop never sends your case number, the vehicle owner's name, the address of the scene, or any free-text label to the broker. The phone-facing screen shows only FIELD · XXXX — the last four hex of the session ID. If the broker is ever exfiltrated, there is no row anywhere that links to a real case or person.

🔐 Encrypted at Rest, Locally

Your full custody database — every case, photo, signature, and PDF — is stored locally on your Windows machine in an AES-256 encrypted SQLite file. The key is sealed by DPAPI to your Windows account. Lose the laptop? The disk is unreadable. Renew or don't — your records stay on your machine.
